At 911 Vault, our platform was born from the shared experiences of small business owners who have weathered the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. Our founders bring decades of firsthand experience in business management, finance, and operations, having navigated the complexities of running their own businesses through good times and bad.

How the heck did we get here?

Our journey began with a pivotal moment in 2015 when our founder suffered a medical emergency while on a family vacation in Mexico. Although he eventually made a full recovery, the experience highlighted how ill-prepared his family was to access critical information (banking, online passwords, health insurance, directives, etc.) during a crisis. The feeling of helplessness and being left in the dark motivated us to create what is now 911 Vault.

The saying “bad things happen in threes” proved true for us.

While researching solutions to prevent a repeat of the Mexico incident, our founder faced two more crises: an employee suffered a debilitating stroke, and another tragically passed away. Both times, families and the business struggled due to a lack of access to essential information.

Back to the Solutions Research… and the “aha” moment…

During our search for solutions, we found existing offerings too narrow and focused. Business planning tools were mostly limited to disaster recovery, and personal vaults were tailored almost exclusively to end-of-life planning with static forms. But life involves many events, not just the final one.

The reality was we weren’t going to find what we were looking for…

Then with our entrepreneurial hats on...it hit us... We needed to take a completely different fundamental approach than what everyone else was doing.

We realized we needed a flexible delivery platform that could release sensitive and critical information according to the settings and instructions of the content creator. Instead of designing rigid online templates, we needed to provide a versatile platform that meets diverse business and personal needs.

Flexibility - Allows documents in any digital form, format, or design that serves the creator's specific needs—business or personal, simple or detailed.

Content creator control- Enables the creator to design variables for delivery—who, what, when, and under what circumstances content is shared, with built-in failsafes.

Having experienced the critical need for a solution to ensure business continuity during crises and to support personal affairs, we collaborated with cryptologists and cybersecurity experts to develop 911 Vault.
